Alison passes on her love of art at a weekly class at Pegasus Art, Stroud. She aims to develop students observation and creativity and inspire them to try different media and techniques in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Groups are small to allow for plenty of individual attention.

Alison also runs one off workshops and is a popular visiting tutor to Art Groups. All classes and workshops are suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

rawing and painting in a Sketchbook 

Friday 14th November   10.15am - 4pm

Venue:  Top Floor, Lewis and Wood, Woodchester Mill, Stroud, GL5 5NN

£80.      Maximum 10 people

a day workshop to show you how to get started using a sketch book, or for those already doing so, new ideas to inspire.

Using watercolours and a small selection of drawing materials, demonstration led exercises will guide you in various techniques of drawing and painting, both landscape and still-life.

​

 Advice will be given on materials and sketchbooks.

​

We will look at examples of other artists sketching techniques including Turner, Hockney and Joan Eardley.

​

The emphasis will be on experimenting and to leave inspired with ideas and confidence to take forward.

​

A materials list will be supplied as will some basic materials on the day.

Alison is an experienced tutor who works extensively in her sketch books.

​

The Top Floor at Lewis and Wood is a large, light studio space with parking adjacent.
