TEACHING & WORKSHOPS
Alison passes on her love of art at a weekly class at Jackson's Art, Stroud. She aims to develop students observation and creativity and inspire them to try different media and techniques in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Groups are small to allow for plenty of individual attention.
Alison also runs one off workshops and is a popular visiting tutor to Art Groups. All classes and workshops are suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

Venue: Top Floor, Lewis and Wood, Woodchester Mill, Stroud, GL5 5NN Suitable for beginners and those with experience wishing to develop their
process.
£85. Maximum 10 people
Taking inspiration from the colour, shapes and essence of flowers, demonstration led exercises will give you ideas and inspiration to develop a loose expressive approach to drawing and painting. There will be plenty of
one to one support. We will work mainly in watercolour and/or inks with some other media to add texture and detail.
A materials list will be supplied along with some materials on the day.
Alison is an experienced tutor and her work sells Worldwide as originals and
for licence.
The Top Floor at Lewis and Wood is a large, light, studio space with adjacent parking.

Sketching
Day workshop - for those wishing to start or develop a sketchbook habit.
Saturday 7th November 2026 10.15am - 4pm
Venue: Top Floor, Lewis and Wood, Woodchester Mill, Stroud, GL5 5NN
All abilities from beginners to the more experienced.
A materials list will be supplied as will some basic materials on the day.
£85. Maximum 10 people
Using a small selection of drawing and painting materials, demonstration led exercises will guide you in various techniques to sketch both landscape and still-life.
There will be advice on materials and sketchbooks.
We will look at examples of other artists sketching techniques.
There will be plenty of individual support and the emphasis will be on experimenting, and to leave inspired with ideas and confidence to take forward.
