Alison passes on her love of art at a weekly class at Pegasus Art, Stroud. She aims to develop students observation and creativity and inspire them to try different media and techniques in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Groups are small to allow for plenty of individual attention.

Alison also runs one off workshops and is a popular visiting tutor to Art Groups. All classes and workshops are suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

A day workshop exploring the possibilities of mixing water based media to create expressive, imaginative and exciting paintings inspired by the beautiful shapes, colours and textures of flowers.

There will be a beautiful selection of flowers to work from.

 

Suitable for beginners "up for having a go" and those with experience who would like to develop their process in a way that is expressive, intuitive and personal by adding variety and interest. Along with expressive means of drawing we will be using mono printing, collage, resist techniques and more.

There will be demonstration led exercises and then the opportunity to work on a piece using a mixture of these techniques. The aim of the day will be for you to leave inspired and armed with lots of ideas to take forward into new works.

We will use a variety of waterbased media. I will supply a materials list and there will also be some materials supplied on the day.

 

The Top Floor at Lewis and Wood is a large, light studio space with parking adjacent. 

There is a kitchen area for our use and I will supply tea coffee and biscuits. You will need to bring a packed lunch.
